A solvent recovery machine turns the fact that different liquids evaporate at different temperatures into an industrial process. Dirty solvent is separated from contaminants by distillation.
Step 1: Loading
Waste solvent is loaded into the stainless steel heating tank to 75–80% capacity. The lid is closed and the cycle starts.
Step 2: Heating and Evaporation
The heating element brings the tank to the solvent's boiling point. Solvent evaporates; contaminants (paint, oil, resin) remain in the tank due to their higher boiling points.
💡 Solvent vapour evaporates at a lower temperature than most contaminants — this difference is the basis of distillation.
Step 3: Condensation
Solvent vapour enters the condenser unit and is re-liquefied by air or water cooling — it is now clean solvent.
Step 4: Collection
Clean solvent flows into the collection vessel. At cycle end: 97–99% purity solvent ready for reuse.
Step 5: Residue Removal
Remaining sludge is easily removed via the Teflon bag. Volume is only 10–20% of the original waste.
