Top 10 Most Asked Questions About Solvent Recovery Machines — Answered

Solvent recovery machine frequently asked questions — ARMIN

1. What is the actual recovery rate?

Varies by solvent and contamination: 80–95%. Typical values: acetone/IPA 90–95%, thinner 85–92%.

2. Can every solvent be recovered?

No. Water-based solvents, chlorinated solvents (require specialist equipment) and products with boiling points above 200°C cannot be processed in standard machines.

⚠️ Chlorinated solvents (DCM, TCE etc.) require separate machines with special ATEX requirements.

3. How much electricity does it use?

AR-60: 2.2 kW/h. AR-120: 4.5 kW/h. A typical cycle uses 10–15 kWh (AR-60) or 20–28 kWh (AR-120).

4. What is the warranty period?

ARMIN AR-series machines carry a standard 2-year warranty covering mechanical and electrical components. Damage from misuse is not covered.

5. How quickly can I get spare parts?

As a domestic manufacturer, ARMIN holds stock spare parts at our Bursa factory. Standard delivery: 1–3 business days.

6. How often do I change the waste bag?

Every 3–5 cycles or when full. Typically 5–10 bags per month.

7. Water-cooled or air-cooled condenser?

Facilities with ambient temperature above 30°C or long cycle times prefer water-cooled. Air-cooled is sufficient for standard conditions.

8. Does the machine smell?

As a closed system, no solvent odour is released during normal operation. If odour is present, check seals.

9. Is recovered solvent as good as original?

With correct cycle settings, output solvent reaches 97–99% purity — equivalent to original for most applications.
